
SEAMAAC, Inc. is looking to hire 2 marketing interns immediately. The internship lasts from March to May. It is a Part-Time internship (flexible scheduling) that requires 20 hours per week. Here is a little more about the event marketing internship:
SEAMAAC is looking for two enthusiastic Marketing Interns to assist with our annual fundraising Gala. The ideal interns will have hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including coordination and daily event operations to ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Qualified Interns must have an interest in and be willing to get involved in a variety of practices, including PR, advertising, promotion and creative management.
Intern candidates must have a passion for marketing, highly creative and self-motivated, with excellent writing skills and a flare for teamwork. Above all, candidates must be eager to make a positive difference in the marketing arena. It is also very important that candidates have an interest and understanding of environmental, social, ethical issues.
Marketing Interns will work closely and assist SEAMAAC Event Planner to:
• Research potential individuals and businesses to establish sponsorship relationships.
• Develop all signage that are needed for the event including sponsor recognition.
• Design and implement efforts to publicize events and promote sponsorships.
• Design and place all media advertising, including flyers, posters and advertisements (paid and free.)
• Organize registration of event participants.
• Seek prospective donors including contact information, agency relationships, contact history and future activities.
• Maintain an accurate list of event supporters to ensure that everyone receives proper recognition and thanks.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
• Junior or Senior, working on Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
• Proficient and with good knowledge of Excel, Word and marketing research experience is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
• Able to work individually and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and detail oriented.
• Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
• Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and research; experience with publishing software such as Adobe Photoshop, MS Publisher, QuarkXPress, Corel is helpful.
• Demonstrate ability to handle a heavy workload, exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, handle multiple priorities and use sound judgment.
•An engaging personality and an aptitude for diplomacy.
•Works occasional evenings and weekends.
