  • Got a Job? Let Them Know

Attention Graduating Seniors! Got a job? Let CSPD know about it!

Temple University business programs rank amongst the top 75 in the United States with some individual programs breaking the top ten such as Risk Managment and Insurance (http://www.fox.temple.edu/ranking/).  These rankings are created based off of numerous information.  How can you help Fox’s rankings?  An easy way is letting CSPD know what your post graduate plans are.  CSPD collects this data and it is used to generate reports on the job market, hiring trends, salary information, career interests of our students, etc.  The information also will help gain the interest of prospective Temple students.

It’s pretty simple to do.  If you go to the CSPD office located in Alter Hall (room 134) all you have to do is fill out the “Report Your Offer Form”.  For your help, you will get a free Fox School of Business Class of 2011 T-Shirt.  If a free shirt isn’t enough, you also be featured on the 1st floor plasma televisions including your picture and your company logo.

  • Senior Reception Offers Great Marketing Opportunities

If you don’t know by now, the Fox Senior Reception is this Thursday (September, 23rd) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Mitten Hall.

This event is a great opportunity for Seniors in the Fox School of Business to talk to and network with over 60 employers who are recruiting right here on campus. All of the employers coming will be looking to hire Seniors in the coming months and this is your chance to meet them and learn more about the positions.

Many people glance at the list of employers listed on Foxnet and complain that there are NO jobs for marketing majors. However, that’s definitely not true.

Just because the company may be a bank for a financial or insurance company, doesn’t mean they don’t have marketing positions to offer. Look closely at the job descriptions and what majors are excepted. Many say “all business majors” and many also list “marketing” as preferred.

Some of the employers attending Thursday’s event with jobs for marketing majors include: General Mills, Liberty Mutual, PNC, Wawa, US Department of Labor, Aerotek, Aetna, and Target Corporation.

To attend this event you must be a CSPD’d Senior with and up-to-date FoxNet profile with your resume uploaded. You must also be dressed in business professional attire.

If you meet all of these demands, stop by the CSPD office to get your certification card. Good Luck!
