The American Marketing Association also just celebrated it’s 75th year! At 75, a person typically is seen sitting on the couch yelling at the “Price is Right”, but this organization is not taking a seat on the couch anytime soon. Going strong at one of the top Student Professional Organizations here at Fox one should be proud to call themselves an AMA enthusiast. But don’t just take it from me the American Marketing Association website in full of useful marketing tips and interesting blogs. Use your summer wisely and study up on your AMA history!
Check out AMA TV and watch an episode about why Pinterest can help with a job search. Now if you are like me and are obsessed with Pinterest you have to be wondering why this is a valuable networking tool.
Finially, Pinterest is one of the largest social media sites. They express how it is important to “pin” images of yourself involved in various activities that you are involved in around campus. If you went on a trip with AMA put up pictures and comments about the event and any accomplishments that you may have achieved. This may seem silly but think of it as self-branding and self-promoting. Promoting you activities and accomplishments are better than any resume. It’s important to always be marketing yourself and your experiences. Don’t forget to blog about yourself and promote your activities around campus and at events.
