This upcoming Friday (which is only 2 days away thankfully) The Philadelphia Brewing Company will be coming to Temple University to deliver a presentation. The speakers name is Jonathan Oldt and he be discussing the company. He also will be giving interview tips as well as some self branding tips. Last year AMA had Philadelphia Brewing Company come in and it was one of the most interesting presentations.
Here is some background information on the company.
The brewery that is used originally opened all the way back in 1885 by Weisbrod & Hess Oriental Brewing Company. It operated for 50 years and then production came to a halt in 1930. In 2001 The Philadelphia Brewing Company opened and purchased the property. Since then the brewery has undergone major renovations and has been morphed into a fresh looking scene.
As far as selection, The Philadelphia Brewing Company offers a handful of year round choices as well as some seasonal options. Year round they produce Kenzinger (a light crisp beer, very refreshing), PA Pale Ale (a classic style beer rich with flavor), Newbold IPA (intense flavors brewed with Amarillo hops, a bit of a citrus taste), The Walt Wit (named after the poet, this ale is brewed with grapefruit peels along with other spices), and finally Rowhouse Red (red copper in color, this beer mixes the best parts of European and American beer).
Throughout the different times of the year, The Philadelphia Brewing Company will also add Kilty Pleasure, Shackamaximum, Winter Wunder, Harvest From the Hood, Joe Coffee Porter, Fleur de Lehigh.
This company has a lot to offer and the presentation is sure to be an interesting one. Don’t miss out, come to room LL34 in Alter Hall this Friday at 12 o’clock. The presentation will last about 50 minutes.
